Where do I get bracket drawings for my builder and fabricator?
Most of it is self-serve. Your fabricator can download the bracket DXF drawings for a job from the Bracket System, and the full bracket drawing library from the public links below. Your builder works from the General Assembly Plans Only set. The job's own connection details come in the certified engineering package once the job is certified. The links below are public: they need no login and don't expire.
Before you send drawings
- Convert the shed in the Bracket System so the brackets match the latest design
- Fabricator: export the Brackets DXF Package for the job
- Builder: send the General Assembly Plans Only set
- A bracket missing from the package? Email us the job number

For your fabricator: the job's bracket drawings
The quickest route is the job itself. On the job page, click Brackets, then Export, then Brackets DXF Package. You get a ZIP of the DXF drawings for the brackets on that job, ready to send to your fabricator.
- Convert the shed first, so the brackets come from the latest version of the design. See How do I convert my shed in the Bracket System?
- Export the Brackets DXF Package.
- The ZIP includes a file called missingBrackets.json. If it lists any bracket, the package couldn't include a drawing for it. Email support@shedmate.com.au with the job number and that file before your fabricator cuts.
Your fabricator can also download the whole bracket library from the links in the table: the shop drawings (PDF), the engineering drawings (PDF) and the 3D connection models (IFC). The shop drawings ZIP is large, so for one job the DXF package is usually easier. Two library drawings aren't in the public ZIPs: the bridging detail and the adjustable fascia bracket for gables. Ask us for them if you need them.
The steel grade and coating for each bracket depend on its plate thickness. See What steel grade and coating should my brackets be, and can my fabricator substitute?
For your builder: the plans
General Assembly Plans Only shows where each frame member and bracket goes. Use the set from the latest conversion.
Need the standard bracket connection details or a build guide for your builder? Email support@shedmate.com.au with the job number and we'll send the current version.
If you use ShedMate engineering, the shed must be built to the standard bracket connection details. Planning to change a connection from the standard detail? Ask us before it's built, with the job number.
Job-specific connection details
The connection details for a particular job are part of the certified engineering package, emailed to you once the job is certified. Plans you export before then aren't certified. See What does my engineering status mean, and what do I do?
Opening the files without CAD software
- PDF drawings open in any PDF reader.
- DXF drawings open in CAD software or a free DXF viewer.
