26/08/2024 Release Notes - Fixed discrepancies between Shedmate and Tekla/IFC
This update resolves discrepancies between Shedmate's Fabrication System and Tekla/IFC default orientations. It also contains many improvements to its PDF output.
Changes to Shedmate's Top/Bottom Flange Conventions
We changed Shedmate's conventions for what are considered the top and bottom flanges of a given frame to match the ones used by Tekla, IFC, and other standards.

Improvements to the Frame Fabrication Module's PDF Output
The new PDF output has the elements repositioned on the page and rescaled to better utilise the available space. It also includes a new isometric view of the frame to assist in visualizing what the finished product should look like.
Comment
Below is an example of the same frame being generated with the previous and new systems, for comparison.

Possibility to Rotate the Frame When Generating Sheets
Users can now specify how they want the frame to be orientated in their sheets. We do this by rotating the frame by 0 or 180 degrees in the X, Y or Z axes. That rotation is then reflected in the output.

Previously, to achieve the same outcome, we needed to flip the reference axes of the camera being used to generate the image. This meant there was no assurance that the frame in the drawing correctly represented the one in the model. Now, we fixed the camera in the same position and orientation, ensuring parity with Shedmate's model.
