28/06/2024 Release Notes - Several improvements to the Instant Quoting module.

This update includes several improvements to the "Instant Quoting" module of Shedmate. It brings improvements to reliability and traceability as well as more control for the "Point of Sales" module.

Instant Quoting - Improvements to Quotation and Contract documentation

The Instant Quoting admin environment where you can configure the Document Report settings

Quoting Expiration:

You can dynamically change the expiration date based on weekdays or weekends. Shedmate will automatically calculate the expiration day based on the time the report is generated.

Document Templates:

You can pre-define what document template the "Sales Point". You can lock that template so it can not be changed in the "Sales Point" environment.

Improvements to variable rendering:

You can now use optional variables. In case the current shed doesn't contain that particular feature, Shedmate will use the option available:
Variable options in the template document
Resulting document on a shed that doesn't contain Roller doors

Variables with more unit description options:

You can now choose to render some variables in imperial, either fractional or decimal:
Category and Subcategory descriptions will contain descriptions based on what units are supported by them

User-defined variables in the documents:

Quoting Variables (the ones you can create on the Variables tab) are now exposed to the documentation:
User Variables (either Numbers, Options or Formulas in the variables tab)
User Variables (either Numbers, Options or Formulas in the variables tab)
Same Variables shown on the "Cheat Sheet" for usage on document templates

Calculation Reports:

There is a new reporting section that can be used to track more information about the quoting. You can generate both quantified and not quantified items:
Quantified and Unquantified reports can be found under the "Report" tab
Quantified and Unquantified reports can also be found on the "Part Preview" window

The results can be viewed in the browser, saved as pdf, or printed:
Unquantified item report header page

Unquantified items details

Calculation Settings:

Calculation Settings can be found under "Pricing Calculations" tab

More control over quoting at "Point of sales":

You can now restrict the "Point of sales" from generating the quoting if the calculations are missing items or if any errors occur in calculating material prices.

Ignore Categories and Subcategories:

You can ignore categories and subcategories you are not interested in quantifying. Shedmate will still allow quantification of these categories but will still give you a warning.

Formula and variable Improvements:

Variables are located under the "Pricing Database" tab

Visual feedback:

Shedmate will better let you know when a formula doesn't calculate. You can ignore this formula when they are not that important and can be skipped.
It is possible to ignore formula variables when their calculation fails

Improvements to formula calculations:

It is now possible to miss and match unit system calculations, imperial, and metric units. Shedmate converts the result back to millimetres for its final calculations:
