22/08/2024 Release Notes - Exporting BOM from instant quoting

This update brings the feature of exporting BOM directly from Instant Quoting, which helps extracting valuable takeoff information either from Quoting preparation or from the Point of Sales system.

Exporting Quoting BOM directly from the Instant Quoting User Interface

If you are working on the quoting calculations, go to the main Item Calculation tab and hit "Export Quoting BOM". A dialogue will popup so you can choose which groups should be used; commonly, you would exclude groups like "Delivery" or "Office" from this list, as they are not directly related to material take-offs. Exporting Quoting BOM from the Point of Sales

 
Before accessing the Quoting BOM feature in the Point of Sales, admins or users who have access to Instant Quoting need to navigate to the Report tab and enable the ability for Sales users to export BOM. To do that, navigate to the Reports tab and enable this option in the Document section, as shown in the video below.
 
It is important to note that relevant groups and other options should be specified in the Instant Quoting environment, as the Point of Sales has limited visibility and access to information by design.
